The storyline of Allegro's 2011 production of "Hansel & Gretel" will primarily follow the Opera written in 1893. This storyline enriches the original with guardian angels, a Dew Fairy, and dancing Gingerbread Men. Allegro's production will also feature two songs from the opera and a gigantic Gingerbread House embellished with real candy. The ballet's message is that if you have faith and courage, all will be well in the end.
